We always build floor structures better than the building code requirements on all of our rooms, both three season and fourseason floors are insulated and framed using the same techniques as seen below. |

All floors under 48" in height are built exclusively with pressure treated lumber. Notice the pressure treated plywood attached to the underside of the floor joists. All floor joists are attached with metal hangers at both ends. |
All floor frames are lag bolted to the main house to prevent them from pulling away and sagging. |

Next the entire floor is insulated with a minimum of R-19 fiberglass insulation.

The fiberglass insulation is topped off with a vapor barrier and then we install a 3/4" tung and groove fir plywood subfloor.
