After the excavation is complete we pour a concrete footing and set our forms on top, then pour our foundation walls. |
After we strip the forms and break off the metal ties we fill the holes with hydraulic cement and apply foundation coating to all the areas that will be below grade. To make sure our foundation stays waterproof we have installed a plastic perimeter drain to be topped off with twelve inches of crushed stone. |

We are using open webb truss floor joists that span 24' and don't require any beams or columns for support. This building technique not only saves labor but allows the basement to be wide open. |
After a week of framing with a three man crew the main structure is almost complete. |
